LeBlanc’s work is expressive. Her paintings focus on the aesthetics of the natural world, and her introspective processes develop into poetic and impassioned landscapes.

I was enraptured by the delicate strokes and the way she captured natural energies.

Through the veils of layered resin, the lustre of nature is captured by allowing a visceral response to each environment, a contemplation that assists her into a plunge of the deeper connection between the world and herself. Her signature medium amongst her many other experimental mediums, tar, is organic and one with remarkable texture, color and scent, and cascades her paintings with luminous energy. LeBlanc does not only contemplate the specifics from line to color to light, but she also focuses on the expanse of her landscapes, allowing paintings to flourish with insight and illumination.

“My love of place and travel are at the root of my work. My travel diary is essential to my process, and is my steady companion wherever I go. Somewhere between a sketchbook, a journal, and a memory book, it is where I draw, write my thoughts, note of the names of the places I go and the people I meet, record the weather, the light, and the time of day. I include photos, textures and images of everything that catches my eye. Whether I am driving on the highway, hiking in the mountains, walking on never-ending beaches, or climbing mammoth rocks by the sea, I gather specific details and deep-felt impressions, my touchstones for the poetic interpretations I will later create in my studio.”

Her collection is accumulated multifarious techniques such as painting, photography and silkscreen printing. She also enjoys experimenting varying mediums like tar, oil, ink and wax.
